Interesting to see the ramshackle structures of the University, which looks hopelessly unstable. Film ends on a hopeful note, as the music swells and the narrator says to look out for the Youth in Alaska, who will lead the way. So So. Watching this took me back to that great feeling I had when the teacher said it was film day. Also, I was riveted when they showed places the way they looked back then and many of them I know firsthand what they look like today. Many of them I recognized, and I especially got a chuckle out of Fairbanks and UAA Fairbanks. The college kids walking up the steps. The construction reminded me of Alaska through and through...the home I love. We Alaskans spend the whole summer on construction projects that end up sitting in part through the winter, only to start up again when we can. Great film for someone like myself.
